Welcome to Kennet Island Online - The website for all residents of Reading's new and vibrant urban village - Kennet Island, being brought to you by Kennet Island Residents' Association (KIRA).

Affectionately known as 'The Island', Kennet Island features a Central Piazza enhanced with Modern Water features, Surrounding the Piazza you will find the Island Lounge (a café and restaurant), Kennet Island Gym and a local corner shop.

There are also a number of other businesses operating from within the Island: Circle Reading Hospital and the Hilton Hotel (also featuring a resturant and the Livingwell Gym)

Kennet Island will soon be seeing a creche, a nature reserve and various parks.

Set amongst tree-lined boulevards, 'The Island' is designed to inspire without intimidation, to be on a human scale and offer a sense of purpose. Kennet Island which is located on the A33 within the M4 Corridor is only the beginning of the "Reading Southside" regeneration.
